During his more than nine years as president, the port authority has spurred billions of dollars of investment in our community, including the redevelopment of the historic Overland site. The Press Club of Toledo is thrilled to announce that Nikki Battiste, an award-winning reporter for CBS News, will provide the keynote for the 21st Touchstone Awards Ceremony to be held at The Toledo Club on October 16, with cocktails at 5:30 p.m. and the program starting at 7:15 p.m.

Each year, the Press Club of Toledo honors the best of journalism and community service in our area at the Touchstone Awards. This year, we have expanded the number of journalism categories to recognize even more of the excellent work produced in the Toledo region. We invite you to enter your work!!

An independent panel of judges will be evaluating stories from newspaper, radio, TV and internet journalists.

The 2019 Touchstone Awards Call for Entries is here (2019 Touchstone Awards Call for Nominations). It’s easy to enter and there’s no limit to the number of entries you can submit, but you must not delay! The deadline to enter this year’s Touchstones has been extended to August 10, 2019!

Our 21st annual Touchstone Awards Ceremony will be held on October 16 at the Toledo Club. Our committee is busy working out the details and finalizing a date with our guest speaker. We will have that information to you SOON! In the meantime, please look over your work published between June 30, 2018 and June 30, 2019 and submit your best!

We will look forward to celebrating your journalism contributions at our 21st annual Touchstone Awards!
